I watch all these rants, some of them valid, while watching dudes like Masada, Beatsbyjblack and others on instragram create bangers every day on them and post themselves everyday using these same machines. Chill out y’all.. the MPC still better then any other drum machine/sampler currently on the market. I just came from owning a maschine studio, that was a nightmare as far as arranging. Y’all gotta chill out lol.. Enjoy your machines.. you paid for them. It could be worse compared to other current units being offered.

This is a smart man here!.. i left the akai world for 5 years and bought Studio and Komplete series 61.. both look nice then the software.. could be here all day with what went wrong.. when the software worked it was great just could get with the workflow coming from 20 years of using a MPC.. so yea lets calm a bit it will drop soon don't be surprised if its for the weekend..

the splice integration is cool. Like other people I was hoping for an announcment on more features added, but hopefully the splice deal will make them more money, and the money will force them to focus on updating the hardware/software.

I asked Dan G publicly over on GS, and he said that splice wasn't the only thing being added to 2.3. Time will tell.. I don't see him not being a man of his word knowing how hostile cats have been lately. I think it's dope that he sticks his neck out there..

Cats are making bangers on every piece of kit though. People are making hit songs on that Maschine Studio of yours too ;)

I know I'm not, but I doubt anyone expressing discontent is sitting around not working. Who doesn't want their perfect machine? This is a forum to discuss such things. I come here to share, learn, suggest, complain, hope, etc, all during downtime at the day job. Then I go home and create... minus the cameras & success of those you mention.

Exactly! I think most of us understand this is about creativity & talent. We just want gear that works the way we want, being transparent at the same time. With infinite workflow possibilities, many of us won't find that perfect piece. It hasn't stopped me from rockin'.

BBB, of course they are lol.. but a lot of complaints are mainly about the difficulty of arranging without having to bounce the stems to a daw, or the difficulty of integrating with a daw, lack of automation as well, etc.., and Bezo my point wasn’t that there is anything wrong with wanting anything better.. more so just saying that it could be worse.. grass isn’t always greener on the other side. My last mpc was the 4000 as well, as mentioned many times I used to own the 3000 and the 2kxl before that. After the Numark incident with the 4000 I dipped to Maschine. Folks are complaining just as much if not more about the Maschine software and lack of basic features that MPC’s have had for years.. so glad I don’t have to be tethered to a laptop anymore all the time. Peace.

Agreed, it can usually be worse.

I think a lot of MPC users are looking for features the competition's missing as well. I scoured the internet for a month or more for info/vids before settling on the MPC. The Maschine MK3 was the primary comp, especially since I use a lot of Native Instruments VSTs. Ultimately the MPC proved to be the best fit. Most everything I want added is related to me coming from a DAW.
