Roger better not come any whete near my Live or l will beat the DNA outta him!

If he is making something it better have a better touch screen, more ram, run like a computer, portamento :-) ,explode, export 12 to 24 bit from 44.1 to 96 khz, dope arse time stretch etc. The price better be right.
I would never buy something like the Tempest.

Roger needs one of us with him when he makes this new machine. And not wait another 40 years to do it.

I would never buy into that Linnstrument. It doesn't look exciting.

That thing looks like the new digital version of " YOU SANKED MY BATTLESHIP "
A whole lotta people isn't going to buy into that. WTF is he thinking? We don't need another Push XL! Crazy!

Be careful unless you want Mr. Linn, to install the MPC 60 OS with a gross beats plug in on your MPC LIve.

Nah what he better do is tell me to help him build it. I will put everything in that mofo!

Now dudes want an all in all standalone are they willing to pay for it? It wouldn't connect to a computer unless midi over USB connection. IT WOULD BE THE STANDALONE OF ALL TIMES!

Cockdiesel wrote:Careful he might show up in this thread and beat you down for talking smack Danoc.

Happened to illgreen minus the wwf smack down.

Plugin support in stand alone? Multi-output plugin support? DAW mixing specs? Bought!

And why not USB MIDI output from MPC in stand alone mode?

If you talking plugin support lm down. But then that machine definity has to be computer based. Aint no if ands or maybe. 16 gigs ram expandable to 128 gigs ram.

I agree with the usb midi.

Plugin support? Then he would have to sit fown with various top tier companies like Spectrasonics , waves, Sound Iron etc.

Oh heck yes mixing specs will be top notch where even also you can connect Presonus Fader Port or X Touch One USB to it. Or various midi keyboards with knobs and faders. You know l wont leave that out. By the time l finish they would put my dam name on that machine

It will come standard with a SSD hard drive.

I appreciate that Rodger Linn has renewed his focus on the Linn Drumm II. Hopefully, he will integrate all of the best technology available today & implement a fast, efficient, intuitive OS with an extremely user friendly work flow.

Imagine a Pioneer DJS-1000 workflow with Roland MV8800 features & super expressive MPC pads. A 'modular' Linn Drumm II would be great!! Give us (consumers) the ability to upgrade & customize RAM, CPU, storage, touch screen & the pads. Sell a stock basic model & let the end user upgrade according to their specific needs...

Definitely CPU based, but all features carrying over to stand alone mode. I'd hope for an X/Live, expanded. And definitely expandable RAM. Maybe save on production cost a bit, including only 8GB RAM and let folks upgrade from there.

I'm finding out about some of the "missing" features late. Not a big deal as I can use the thru-put on one of my synths, but not happy about no MIDI over USB in stand alone.

I'm guessing something similar to an iLok for authorizing plugs. I can see this being the major hurdle.

Add VCA tracks to track types for more mixing options. And throw in support/pre-mapping for those and a few other low/mid level mix controllers.

I was going to say save on the drive as most would upgrade any way, but can't ship with a small spinning drive with plugin support and all that RAM.

A renewed partnership between Roger Linn & Akai has a snow ball's chance in hell of becoming a reality. Maybe a NEW partnership between Linn & Roland will materialize? The Linn Drumm II aka Roland MV8800 MKII hybrid??

Preorders anyone???

These day especially when you're talking plugins you put 16Gig ram then let them expand to 128Gig ram. These plugins pull so you need the minimum ram to be 16. CPU buss speed that clock at least 4.00Ghz.

Plus DVD/CD disk recorder and player. So you can mix and master and burn to disk.

Bump Roland Roger should be talikng to us. All they will do is cut corners and not give us what we need. Roland is really into the keyboard business.

See now y’all wen sideways with it.

I do agree Roger Linn really does need danoc to help him make this new product.

15 terabytes of ram, 666,000 ghz, 420 core processor, the ability to make your own vst, porno streaming, even connects to the new doorbells with camera when you busy in the Stu, makes the music for you and also gives a “happy ending” at the end of the session. Even comes with custom fronts from Paul wall.

Linn drum LIVE. Followed up with Linn drum x with the extra 2 outputs and removable flesh light.

Haha I’m **** up in the head.

Hell no! ABSOLUTELY NO DONGLES! You don't need it. That MPC will be a big arse dongle it self. You would half to connect to the internet with the machine.

Sorry I was just jumping on the band wagon.

I think whatever he does with his mpe controller and the new sampling will be dope. As far all the bells and whistles, these guys make solid high end equipment. I doubt it will be anything like the live/x. Something more along the line of the newer pioneers, Dave smith type stuff.

I mean look what the Linn drum 1 did for music production as a whole, the man is way smarter now, look at his new project to just about the be on the same level. Put the game on its head. Probably not a touch screen, vintage emulations, etc.

The machine I probably wouldn’t end up buying but the mpe controllers are the way of the future, much like the mpc was when they first dropped.
