 Those are the lyrics though.

Personally, this Splice "major update" is a major let down. They are samplers after all, they suppose to sample, I wouldn't even call it an update or an upgrade. So kids buy a sampler just to play internal sounds? Thats not a sampler, thats a drum machine like an XR-20. Would've been cheaper if they bought that instead of a $1,000 dollar sampler.

Agree.. pretty lazy one area to find sounds and instruments.. i can't understand lets all shop at one store let see who stands out.. lack of creativity. I see the money grab but that is a total waste of press release.. i can see if they was the first t I do it.. i can see the exposure tho from that site.. just ain't paying money.....

Agree.

There are so many FREE sites that have great sounds. Why in the world would l pay monthly for splice?

Akai needs to stop the baffoonery, get to concentrating on getting these new MPCs on board where they are not glitchy. Getting things to work like the XY effects. Midi over usb etc.

I bought a topnotch recorder. I can sample anything from hitting a shapoo bottle on a table and making it a kick once l manipulate it. Splice is a waaste of time , money and energy.

Getting these MPCs tight would be good news.

Mpc live will be complete when I will be able to use drum groups, keygroups, clip mode, xy effects all together simultaneously.
Until then, it's useless for me to have splice and expansions and stuff like that.
Also effects should be improved, at least we need a decent stereo reverb and modulations with good resonations.
How long we have to wait for that?
One or two updates?
I hope so.

Splice has decent sounds its just the membership crap that gets me, when there are free sound engines out there with just as decent sounds. If not better.

I agree Akai need to get on with the updates.

But ultimately Akai should get on with the updates

I have Waves stuff which l paid for and not monthly or yearly.
I have Eastwest CCC package but buoght that in like 2007 l think and only paid once. Might as well buy it and have it.

Eastwest and Waves are high quality sounds not from amateurs uploading sounds to a site.

Rankin Audio

Can't find the subscription products at Rankin Audio, just appears to be standard individual pack purchasing?

They used to have a subscriptions model, but it looks like they are no longer doing it. https://www.rankinaudio.com/pages/subscriptions

Also I added cloud, because this list was not just about subscriptions accounts. But the influx of cloud based/ downloadable/point business model. I sure that subscriptions fatigue will set in soon, which in the long run, damages the industry.
