Support and discussion for all of Akai’s modern standalone MPCs including the MPC X / X SE, MPC Live 1, 2 & 3, MPC One / One+, MPC Key 37/61.

For whatever reason Akai Pro forgot the importance of plugin delay compensation and it's a real bummer because I have some great analog models I want to use on my inserts and I can't...

Thanks for replying, but I was hoping for another solution. I guess I'm gonna have to give up on this one. Once again thanks. :)

Using low-latency plugins. There's hardly any other way.
At some point I tried latency-correcting plugins, but afaik the DAW must understand latency for those to work, and on MPC software, they don't.
I've always been surprised how few ppl make noise about this…I've always been voicing my concern for this one.

Probably people don't make noise cause they are using something else, like me Reason 10.1 has PDC and everything is tight! When I do my drums in Reason it's just tight. So I can do drums in the MPC Live or Reason, but when I am doing my chord progressions and melodies it's in Reason. So I don't worry to much about it. :smoker:

Yes, probably true.
But I'd like to be able to work in the MPC software.
But truth be told, every single time I make a beat with my SP 1200 or MPC 60, I record the stems and mix and master in my main DAW, Ableton Live, anyways…

Heck, I have a bigger problem than PDC in the MPC SW, hell my plugins don't show up LOL Only Analog Lab vst shows up and the Air instruments. So I don't trust the MPC SW period.

Let me ask you is the latency that bad in the SW?

The latency depends entirely on the plugin and how much latency it creates.
Some UAD stuff, for example, can be quite heavy.
Or put a Slate tape machine on your kick, for example, and it'll be off time...
