5 Guys. Lots of drum machines on a table. All standing around doing nothings. Will the 2.3 update have midi using telepathic powers?

That must be Ableton Link, not so exciting to me.

Chances are the updates will enhance the software, closing the gap between other software DAW programs. In the hardware, there should be some bug fixes and a couple features added. However, how crucial are these updates, when people are making music using the MPC LIVE/X in it's current condition?

Give the people what they want, not what you want...

Did the people ask for SPLICE?

My point exactly. No one asked for that or Ableton link which is what they seem to be pushing. I personally just want PDC so I can use certain plugins. They can miss with all that unnecessary stuff...

It will be interesting, everyone just have to wait for the updated White Sheets. There could be some cool things applied. The good news, is that they are still updating and pushing the platform forward. :smoker:

Whatever it is, is no way more important than PDC, sidechaining, mixer presets, key detection, and automation lanes. Something tells me a large portion of us are going to be greatly disappointed. Another round of years long customer requests ignored...

And therein lies the problem. What do "the people" want? I know what I want, and it's probably different from what others want. Side chain functionality and automation lanes for the hardware seem to be the two most agreed upon.
PDC and disk streaming are the others I can think of. ReX file import and preview would be cool to me, since it's broken right now.

None of those are particularly fun though, I would like to see a drum synth in the hardware as well as a basic regular synth. Plus the ability to use them while the song is playing, it is called an MPC "Live". Being able to switch from remixing the Sequences to playing a program with a built in synth. I'm definitely asking too much but hey! :smoker:
