This update made my favorite MPC even more powerful.

Wasn’t expecting this update. Pleasant surprise.

In one of the plug in you can, however I do not believe that is a universal feature.

Did the same myself, then I heard them,
the electric piano is the dogs bollox and has instantly saved me 4ft of studio space,
the Bass is very versatile and covers a large range of sounds
but the Synth I find is just lacking something, considering all the modulation options it still manages to sound static and lifeless like a cheap vst, just not feeling that filter

Looks great I’m updating now. I’m looking forward to auto sampling my hardware synths and au synths and the qlink improvements. The egg GUI is nice along with the new synths. Thanks Akai for the surprise. Looking forward to more in the future.

Yeah glide/portamento is in it.

No automation lanes huh?

Any news on streaming audio from hard drive? I know they have been working on it and that would be a huge thing!

How do you know that they've been working on it? :hmmm:

Wow! I was not expecting something like this, crossfade looping is a big deal, esp. for traditional ambient stuff. Electric sounds great, and the other synths have some potential. I was a bit put off by so many abrasive/typical EDM presets on the synth, but other than that, pretty amazing update. Kept me up into the wee hours of the morning, actually.

Two hopes for 2.3.1... fix the clip mode problem when switching to other tracks, and as Tubedigga pointed out in one of his vids, enable audition ability for crossfading on the Autosampler. It's a lot of time-consuming trial and error, without it.

I don't remember the last time I had a hardware update that not only had so many great features, it also just made it a more useful instrument. Thanks, Akai!

I would like to see a graphic waveform GUI for crossfade loop. In JJOS and MPC 4000 you can see the end and beginning of wav file intersecting in real-time. In the live it sounds great but relies on a lot of trial of error since you are using sample values only.

Yes I am also pushing to convince Akai to fix the clip mode but it seems very few people are supporting this, many are focused on multimbral midi and disk streaming, two features that I don't care about.
So am I almost alone to think that using clip mode and switching to a synth or a drum program would make MPC Live a perfect production machine?

You know what I like most of all....My Live Starts up in 12 Seconds now....hahaha I used to Press the Power Button, Go Make A sandwich, Pour me a Drink, wash my hands, Check my FB msgs, then sit down, eat half the sandwich, then Boom!!! lol. Another Feature I like...is All my Insert Effects in Program Edit, now have a Graphical Interface! Nice!!!
