Took my Live from being good, to great. Fantastic job by all who worked on this update. Very happy user here!

Im happy to see the new update. Sure im missing a view things. But anyways.

Since im not big on synths i was wondering how to create a wobble bass with the new plugin.
Could not see any LFO there...

Furthermore while shaping a sound its nice to use a latch function so you dont have to push down
the key or record a short sequence to loop it. How ist this possible in the plugin mode? As far as i know latch only works in keygroups but in plugin programs the note repeat function will apply.

Thanks in advance for your answers. I wish everyone lots of fun enjoying there MPC.

What is the "MPC X/Live Firmware Update 2.3 (USB UPDATE IMAGE)" Do I need to down load that and install? I am down loading the software 2.3 and firmware 2.3. This is dope. Thanks.

I'm enjoying the positive feed back that is coming through on this site. It gives me great hope on these machines. Thanks Akai. They get flack but we should also commend Akai when they come through.

It’s to update the firmware from a usb stick without being tethered to a computer.

Thanks Kay bro! Did you start using it yet? If so are you feeling the update?

I would love to see Midi over Usb update so I can rock my Live on my Computer in Reason 10.1

This update is incredible, the synths and autosample alone put it on the next level. I’m going to see if I can autosample some of the Reason Synths this weekend. I just regular midi cable from my presonus interface.

The crossfade loop sounds good, the workflow is awkward.

Menu plus pad short cuts are epic. The arp is fantastic. I may buy an X.

Anyone else finding this? Saving a custom preset in Tubesynth:

1. insert tubesynth into track
2. select factory patch (e.g. Chillout lead)
3. Make edits to patch
4. Save patch with new name (e.g. Test)
5. Return to prog edit (or main) - patch still called 'Chillout lead', although it's playing back my custom patch sound

It's displaying fine if I subsequently load the patch directly from the 'User' presets folder, just not in the first instance when it's saved.

Yes same behavior, it’s in mpc head and tube Diggas videos also. It happens and they don’t mention it.

Kay you sound excited that's good.

Is autosample where you sample one note and spread it across the key or pads?

I can't wait to use use the synths. This is a positive note.

Autosample will sample a range of keys over how ever many semitones you want. It's a similar approach to MPC-Tutors VST sampling, but it's a bit faster through the software/firmware.

For best results, you'll still want to trim/edit the samples a bit by hand, but it is a pretty decent workflow from what I have seen so far.

My MPC Live is still **** up, as I can’t seem to access my hard drive - the MPC won’t let me select it even though it recognizes the drive.

Anyone having an issue using Ableton Link?
try this.

Open the MPC Software on a computer.
Long on to WIFI
Enable Ableton Link.

Open yours or another MPC LIVE or X in standalone Mode
Log on to the same WIFI Network
Enable Ableton Link.

Are the software and standalone devices finding each other?

My production partner and I both have MPC's. We find that we can only find the other using Ableton link only when
1. Software Link to other Software Link
2. Hardware Link to other Hardware Link

Neither of our MPC Software Links can find each others hardware link. So I can't be on the MPC Software on my computer ableton linked to his standalone mpc... and vice versa.

Before you ask about my network, remember, Ableton link IS working ON the network... Just not from Standalone to Software.

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks
MAD
