Song mode -> Convert to sequence bug?

In song mode, I convert to sequence, select sequence 11 to place to combined sequence. But the combined sequence is placed on sequence 1 (it overwrites it). I've seen this multiple times now. Anyone else see this?

Also, the resulting sequence is double the length of the combined sequences. So, if I have sequence 1, 2 & 3, and each are 8 bars, the resulting sequence should be 24 bars. But the resulting sequence is 48 bars. Anyone else see this?

Yup. It overwrites the first sequence on my MPC Live too. Don’t have the double length issue.

Thank you for confirming. My MPC will sit in a corner until this gets fixed. Hopefully it won't have to wait until the next point release, and it gets attention to put out a quick fix in a few days.

Yep me too. Sometimes it works ok, at the moment I have to save the project before converting song to sequence, so if it goes wrong I reload the project and try again.

Clearly a 2.3 issue - worked fine in the previous version. I guess the alternative will be to downgrade. Hopefully this fix doesn't have to wait for the next release in 6 months. From my perspective, song mode is broken now, because converting to one sequence is the only way to bounce stems from the song. Or writing everything as one sequence in the first place, which isn't something I plan on doing. I'll let the MPC sit until this is resolved.

Just tested rrreally quick on software (Mac) – no problem.

Oh, one thing that did seem to work when I had this problem last night was : instead of saving to the next available unused sequence (11 for example), try to save to the one after (12) or something.
That worked for me a couple of time last night, but it could have been luck, like I said I have this issue intermittently.

Good catch. That worked. This could at least make song mode usable. Clearly a bug in the code somewhere.

Or copy your first sequence to an empty new sequence before converting your song to sequence.

It’s not to supposed to work like this, but that way you don’t have to have your Live collecting dust underneath a pile of dirty clothes.

Lol, true. Once I realized that I can select two sequences past the end (in a 10 sequence song, select sequence 12 for the combined sequence), I realized I can still use it. It's a work around I'll have to be content with.
