About quantisation and swing 'TC"

Hi Guys.
I imagine this is simple but I've not yet grasped this crucial thing.
When I apply 'TC' to a hi hat track lets say, it appears impossible to only apply it to this track, it applies it to the whole project. Seems insane, in Logic, for instance, I could apply the quantise to a single hit or region or block of regions or regions on multiple tracks without affecting any other thing I chose to leave alone.
Surely this is possible in the MPCX.

This is from p66 of the manual.

Use the Window field to set how many notes around a quantize value will be quantized. Any notes outside this range will not be quantized; notes inside will.

I have the new version of the manual and was reading last night BEFORE I wrote this lol. I'll look and see tomorrow.

do you mean 66 of the Akai manual? Not the MPC Bible

The akai manual, though , it's a bit unclear what the window actually does, l just got the live so not completely au fait with this feature

TC is track specific so it shouldnt affect anything outside of what you have programmed on that specific track. You can also choose specific notes to quantization within the track or do all selected.
