Mpc software and multitrack

I've never used Mpc Live with computer, always standalone.
To record songs, I connect Mpc outputs to a firewire mixer and then record the music in real time with a Mac connected to the mixer via firewire.
So how does Mpc software exactly works?
Can I route every pad or track of an Mpc project to different tracks of a Daw?
If this is possible, I would have the chance to make an editing of separated tracks after I record my music in real time.

If you mean making edits DURING recording real-time, like XY effects, then yes, you can route tracks to individual inputs of your firewire mixer, then route those to tracks in your DAW. But you only have 8 outputs from the MPC, so you have to be a bit creative if your song has more than 8 tracks.

If you’re not doing anything that requires real-time editing, then I think a better approach is to export the stems from the software, connect the MPC via USB, and import each stem to your DAW. This is exactly what I do. My flow is: Start the song on the MPC -> Export the stems to Logic Pro -> Continuing composing and editing in Logic Pro -> Mix in Logic Pro.

No, I am looking for a way to play live but record any track separately as I play live.
So I can mix it up and edit after.
Now with the firewire mixer I can use 6 outputs but it would be better to have a recorded track for every Mpc track.

yea you can track out 16 stereo outputs or 32 mono at once or combo of both.route from program or pad mixer menu.But then you end up using logics timing and tempo if you open mpc as vst or au.I personally track out from the 3 stereo outs from mpc live into my daw like you do .I always keep mpc as master sequencer because thats where my beats get sequenced in.

Yes great.
Any chance to just play Mpc as in standalone but meanwhile record pads and tracks in a daw multitrack as audio?
That is my idea.
So I can keep the live feeling of Mpc but have a multitrack recording that I can edit to make an album.

If we ever get disk streaming maybe... but I think what you really want is a portable multi track recorder for now.

No, actually I am fine with Mpc.
I just want to make music in real time, as I do now, but having the chance to record every track or at least subgroups in different multitrack tracks.
I am just wondering if its possible, if not I keep on using the 3 stereo outputs and I am ok.

Have you played around with Looper much? You could record off two separate mono tracks or a single stereo track, and dump them to pads for retriggering. I'm not aware of a way to record more than two channels at a time, though you can activate monitoring in order to get the audio through for all 2 (Live) or 4 (X) inputs.
