Would love to see them complete the ecosystem and do a 49, 61 and 88 key version of the MPC. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Generic post where people ask why cant Akai make a machine that is at the level of higher end DAW software, can run VSTS and have 32 gigs of ram with 1 TB of SSD and a 16 thread processor.

Waits a month, checks videos of everyone raving about it. Waits another week, software issues do not get resolved.

More posts on the forum where people ask the dumbest of questions such as "How come I can't import my Protools Sessions in the Akai Force"

Danoc says that his Akai Force is great and that it works great. Each thread response he gives makes you have to scroll because he quotes the entire thread instead of the individual response.

CharlesRudolph then says some sort of condescending remark about working in the industry, in attempt to invalidate any previous opinion that is not his own and will multiquote anything into a paragraph of rambling armageddon.

Richie then talks about how the Alexa integration into Akai Force is great for creating trap arpeggios.

Then someone else joins the forum thread and asks about how the actual timing is and how does it compare to their MPC 60 or 3000. Some how expecting the newest Akai release to be some sort of professional caliber toy, had toys r us still be around you'd see it for sale there.

Fanu then makes a millionth post about PDC which unfortunately go unnoticed.

*shrug*

Then Richie reminisce about going to a Gangstarr concert and giving, Funk Master Flex his mix tape. Then we find out, he taught kool g rap and nas how to write rhymes.

We all go to his studio and wonder why he has 40 drums machine but no speakers. He tells us he mix everything with no sound, because it easier to add compression. Then he shows us that, he just purchased every sp1200 off of ebay and trades them for and an ironing board. Because he better at making fresh, sharp shirt collars, instead of making fresh sharp music.

We laugh, he laugh....we leave....he crawls up in a ball, on the floor, in the corner. Waiting for the new Roland 9900 with 32bit / 192 khz drums and 8K monitor hdmi 5 display port to arrive at NAMM 2034. The Roland 9900 never arrive and he dies alone with no music. But at least is shirt collars are fresh and sharp.

Later I go to the Grammys and tell the story of Richie. People look at me and ask, Who the F&^K is Richie?

I posted the Force and Denon DJ SC5000M Prime as a hope they will work together. It's has not been confirmed that they will link with each other, in the fashion that posted. It would be cool, but it's just a guess.

I could have sworn I watched a video of the two on YouTube that Akai just posted today brutha. Lemme see if I can find the link.

I just saw it! WOW, I made that post before that video was published. Crazy! Too bad they did not connect it via the Ethernet ports. I wanted to see if that works, in standalone.

I just want to see how this all ties together. People are tripping over the price, but it’s Akai. Folks should have sh*t their pants at the price of the 2kxl fully upgraded or even the base 4000, not even gonna mention the price for the upgraded one which I forked over good money for brand new. With Akai folks should know they’re already coming out the wallet on a purchase. I don’t care about what they should’ve done, etc.. I buy into Akai for the familiar workflow and overall fun of using their pieces. Time will tell what the force can really do. It seems the new Akai is in for the long haul.

Not completely true. Advance 61 went from $599 to $315. Komplete Kontrol is still $699. I guess it is the MPC only they rob you. I am not waiting for this bs like X falls short again. Get Maschine. As others eluded none of this standalone can even touch today's computers. I wanted Komplete Kontrol just for the slide switch but Akai in this case was the price leader. Sorry to those that paid the $599. That would upset me more quite frankly. Wait until X is a grand because sales suck. I am not trying to add to the flaming here. Just stating the obvious. Like the last days of REN gave it away. The flagship will cost you unless you are very patient and wait it out.

They used the Denon Mixer, M Prime, and Akai Force in controller mode Serato and ableton via Ableton link. Which seems to work well, however people do that with the Push 2 and Denon Combinations already. I really wanted to see how the Ethernet port would work in tandem with the Denon DJ SC5000M.

The power of the Denon DJ SC5000M is, you don't need a Laptop and Serato connected to it. Everything is built in for mixing and it reads pretty much every audio format known to man. I could also see people using the Akai Force like this. If those darn Ethernet port functions the way I hope.

Desktop Computer going away for normal consumer I can see. Most only check email and social media.
But for creator, enterprise, and avid users. They are not going anywhere.

+1. Tablet, phone even laptop nowhere the computing power of desktop. They will be for enterprise. Since the power of multi Xeon machines has replaced mainframes. I am sure enthusiasts can still get them somewhere too but no longer sold at best buy. Best buy hardly has any desktops right now and at that low end machines. I9 suited me better than Xeon but nothing smaller can touch it. If you think about it is not very big physically. Has replaced a 5,000 square foot room of mainframe with 60 tons of air conditioning. Just heading in different directions. Today the average consumer is texting, social media but there is still a place for high power machines. For us, want to run 5 VSTI's, 5 effects, 12 tracks laptop cannot even do that yet. Tablet or phone forget it. Maybe in 40 years but I will be dead then so don't care.

For that matter flagship beat boxes and workstations cannot either. Genos is already 6 grand and the most powerful hardware synth currently. It cannot come close to the I9. That is why I prefer computer now and not standalone. X has about 200 sounds. Omnisphere 20,000+. Come to think about it though why not get Genos and a drum pad if you want the ultimate standalone. It is still 20xmore powerful than the X. I am not even interested in it so you can see why I think X is underpowered.

I wish I got Komplete Kontrol but AKAI at $315 was a no brainer. Not paying twice for the slide. I just hope it does not conflict with Maschine. Shouldn't though.

Not true.. I own the maschine studio, since the release. 5 years ago 2.0 was touted as a rewrite to bring all the features we had been asking for, announced in an “Open Letter” in their very own forum. Here we are 6 years later and what’s been the development besides the controllers. Jam was shipped without features promised and then dudes are still waiting for those features. NI was mainly a software company and they still haven’t done much to the Maschine software. If you like your maschine? Cool. Don’t act like NI doesn’t have a history of lying and breaking promises to only go another direction. NI reminds me of the whole NUKAI stage that happened years back.
By jeff lick Tue Jan 22, 2019 10:09 am
I do not have Maschine. AKAI waited forever with 2.0 with failed promises as well. I think it boils down to the consumers expectatations are not exactly the manufacturers motive. Not one single synth out of any type meets most of our expectations. You cannot say the MPC X is perfect and you want for nothing else, can you? TBH I have a motive. Maschine is less money! AKAI is not perfect either and simply too expensive for what it is IMO. The price for what you get is my only beef. Not what you get per se. I am not deep into this anyways. Mainly play keys. Nothing is all everyone wishes. However I would say the X is far from standalone. This is evidenced that it does much more with a computer. It can do the job but not a knockout production IMO. With a computer it is fine. For me personally to only use it with a computer seems like a waste of my money. I actually prefer a software company since I mainly use these things with software. I couldn's say which is better it is a tossup. It was discussed at Gearslutz that Maschine M3 is comparable to X and not below it. I personally have no idea if that is true. I think it is an inherent limitation to do everything everyone wants. The issue is not that I thought it is bad, just a lot of money for what you get.

So this means you’re getting an Akai Force. :-D
