I am all for new FX for our machines, but I still feel like the creative potential is really stifled by the lack of modularity of the envelopes and LFOs. I think that the current modulation options are strange and redundant, and would like to see this opened up for more sound-shaping possibilities.

I have submitted the following feature requests (now that the board is back up), and I have thought about them a lot, and feel like these things would expand our sculpting abilities by quite a bit. I will , of course, submit more (I would like to see phase modulation, or frequency modulation / envelopes a la abletons Sampler at some point, in addition to many other things) , but these are my first submissions.

Please upvote if you'd also like to see these things! I'm not a person who uses other peoples samples or sample packs, so I am feeling really limited by whats possible currently.

Oh I wish that would be a possibility, but I don't think so. I'm used to the Elektron machines as well (started with MachineDrum mark 1), so I need to adjust to the MPC way, but what I gathered is that P-Locks are not part of the philosophy. To introduce variation on a step, I have been advised to copy the pad to another free pad (which works, I never fill up the banks on any program anyway).
Nevertheless, there have been talks about automation lanes, which essentially amounts to being able to use step/grid to sequence parameter values. I you read the threads about updates, it looks like it could be coming in MPC 2.5, but should not be expected in the next coming update. Now, are we going to have access to a lot, or only to a poor selection of exposed parameters like on the LFO destinations page ? Let's cross our fingers for the real thing
