After not being excited for this update initially, something I read, maybe here, may change that.
Can anyone confirm that the Air effects are latency free?
Without PDC, among other things, I wouldn't attempt a mix in the MPC software. But I could certainly take care of some sound designing that I typically put off until mixing.

I suggested a real time pitch shift like a CDJ or turntable would have. They added it with the Air Pitch Shifter which is awesome! The annoying click or short pause when moving between tracks is fixed. Great job Akai. I'll be playing with Clip launch today to figure out how to use because I haven't messed with since 2.0.
Great update.
Great update.

Ooo, XYFX bug seems to be fixed, as does the 16 bit bouncing/chopping bug.

Well I used to work with an old protools that didn't have pdc also and Air fx were great because of good sound and no latency.
I guess is the same here.
I have to check about cpu, that's my main concern.
Tonight I check, now I have to lose my time working for things I don't give a ****.

They sound great in vids, so I hope I can use them for what I intend.Bezo wrote:After not being excited for this update initially, something I read, maybe here, may change that.

I can tell you guys first hand from experience that the Air Effects are dope, intuitive to use and you will be ok. Being I am in side the box, I shouldn't have that latency crap using them. I don't have it doing my 3rd party effects. I definitely don't feel it when I use Reason's effects which are convolution now and sound beautiful.
We already know that the Air sound plugins are dope So you don't have to worry. Dam I have to upgrade my Loom II. Yall going to be good.
