As far as MPC is concerned you should just forget about it for the moment, it sounds like it's something that might appear eventually, but not in the foreseeable future.

It runs on Force right now which does not have streaming playback of regular samples. So either it's loading the samples into RAM or it has its own method of playback that's not related to the way audio tracks and samples are handled. The former seems to make more sense.

Force has all Hype library on sd card, while in Mpc sd card there is not enough space because of the expansions.
This is why it needs an HD on Mpc.
But if Force reads the waveform, oscillators etc from the sd card, why Mpc cannot read them from HD?
That is the question since both Force and Mpc don't have disc streaming at the moment.
Ah ah now I realize I am just saying the same as you said.

So maybe the datas of Hype on Force are put on Ram?
And why that's not possible on Mpc?

in 2.4 you can remove (user) expansions by deselecting them so you could free up space on the internal SD card?

I’d actually love to see a drum synth like Kong Drum Designer as a plug-in in a major update.

TBH, given the MPC is a sampler at heart, I'd prefer to see them build on the sampler specs so we can perform more advanced synthesis directly within a keygroup program. Pitch envelope, pulse width modulation, second lfo, glide etc. Although I appreciate that from a marketing perspective, this is not as sexy as releasing a fancy plugin.
But if they are heading down the all-singing-all-dancing plugins route, it would be good to see them offer ways to bulk import patches so developers can offer 'add on' patch bundles.
