Look I currently do not own a mpc but have some experience using the 2000xl. I have worked all summer so I can purchase a 4000 because it seems to be a beast from what reports and users say. But Then I understand there are many bugs that have to be updated and the OS process is taking a long time to make these updates. Then people are talking about the company going down and that kind of turns me away.
I had my mind set on purchasing a 4000 and I have the money to buy one.I have read different threads talking about the many new features it has. What i want to know is does it have atleast all of the features of the 2000xl or should I just purchase an 2000xl, and even though there are many bugs that havent been fixed is it still capable of the many sampling options the xl has. Please help me, I know you heard this question millions of times. If possible please let me hear some beats made with the 4000
maybe that will encourage me to get one.

The 4000, with its faults is a great machine. However, you asked if the 4000 has the same sampling capablities as the 2000xl. One of the things that the 2000xl has over the 4000 is its ease of use. Less to know, therefore easier to learn. The 4000 has a large learning curve.

But as far as sampling is concerned, the 2000xl has weak sampler as compared to the 4000 which basicly has a fully functional Z8 inside it. So there is no comparison, if sampling is your concern.

To be honest, I've recently busted out my 2000xl again and have been using it sitting over my Triton Studio, basicly because of its size and what I need it for. I've been using my PC quite a bit for certain things such as sampling and some effects. But anyway, do some research and make your decision based on what you need. The 2000xl is very capable.

i have had a xl for 2 years and have had the 4000 since april , i admit the learning curve was about a month , month and half to really know where everything is. after that its gravy , u just find out more and more.
