Peace everyone, been a while since I wrote something, been working.

I have to say that I have pleasure of working with the MPC Live's sequencer, and I must tell ya, for ME it's rock solid. I even tried to hit off time and my drums would still pop on time. I am so glad that Akai got this together. I bring in my own drums, clean, sweet, etc.

I've been in few situations where the MPC Live saved my behind or the sessions behind LOL and that put me up one with Clients. Funny, there are thousands who still haven't heard of the new machines. I have not used the power cord in a while, but I keep it in the bag just in case. I work pretty fast but man being portable is neat! :-D

Also exporting 24bit works, I think people were complaining about that, but I have not experienced any problems with exporting. I bring in some times 16 big or 24 bit drums and it exports right.

I would like to know those that are having the problem of exporting 16 bit for 24 bit and it won't work.

Thanks.

Watup how you be?

Oooh l got it now. Bounce to audio. How do you tell if you bounce to audio its 16 bits? For me l worry about it exporting to 24 bit.

If you bring in a 24 bit and bounce it will it go to 16 bit?

Eyalc wrote:What up man,

"Bounce to..." is the issue, not export. Bounce to sample or bounce to audio track... it always bounces as 16-bit. Or at least it used to. I haven't tried in the latest update.

Other than that, the sequencer is cool.

I’m good bro. Working on this next album. Release in May / June. Date keeps slipping... lol. I’ll send to you to preview man.

Only way I know to tell is to open the file in an audio editor. It really doesn’t bother me much, but it’s just an annoyance that it doesn’t retain. Regarding bringing in 24-bit and then it bouncing to 16-bit, not sure. Never tried it, but I imagine if you bounce to... it will render 16-bit.

Yo l got some heat, lma send you some samples tomorrow. Im working hard. Plus l got mad projects coming real soon. :smoker:

Cool man send it. Would love to hear it.

On an external audio editor. I have used DSP Quattro and Sony Wavelab.

I order for you to get it in Sony Wavelab don't you export that bounced audio?

I really dig the sequencer. It's almost the only thing I use the Live for.

:worthy: Exactly!

That's the main reason I loved the MPC. Now that this one has export, explode, dope effects, touch screen, usb ports, lazy chop, battery for portability, dope chips, etc. I am just winning all day long! I f***ing love this machine LOL

Plus I can work so dam fast it's ridiculous.

I have a X coming this week, and the sequencer is one of the things I am looking forward to the most.

   X? Man you're about to step into the zone with some real power behind that machine bro. You're about to more happier than a camel on hump day LOL  You'll probably drop dead from seeing how beautiful the X is.

My bad for the delay. I think after I bounced I saved the project, then mounted the MPC Live and copied the file to my computer. Then looked at it there.

Gotcha. See I would never save my tracks, only export them out to be 24 bit, cause I bring them in as 24 bit and they go out as 24 bit. For me there is no reason to bounce to audio. Only time I bounce to audio is in Reason 10.

the sequencer feels a little loose to me. When sequencing external hardware at least. It’s been awhile, but the 2xl and 2500 seemed tighter in my memories. I really do like the piano roll and step sequencer user interfaces though.
