MPC X as midi controller/piano roll type of functionality?

I was wondering if the MPC X has a piano-roll type of function? In other words, if I record a keyboard performance from an external midi controller, and I wanted to change an F# to a G or a E to a D note, could I see the recorded info as chromatic notes, and not as "pad numbers?"

I would be using the MPC X to control analog synths, with my MPC2500 I can see the actual chomatic notes listed, which is much more useful than Pad-numbers.

Since this is such a huge part of what I use an MPC for, it might be a deal-breaker.
