Hi guys, I'm planning to use my MPC Live as the heart of my studio, with my samplers Emu E4, S1000 - I'd love to be able to create beats while on the move with internal programs on the Live, then ultimately when I get back to my home studio, change the internal pad programs to external midi (copying the track and then changing the new one to Midi) to substitute the Live sounds with E4 or s1000..
However when I do that currently, if I press pad A1 in internal drum program, it's not showing as C#-2 when I copy it over and convert (it's listed as C#-2 in Midi map mode)?
It seems the 'true' values of the internal pads are all screwy, as if I tap in a sequence of pads A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, rather than getting a chromatic Midi sequence, it's all over the place.. Does anyone know if there is a reason for this? S
Surely it would make sense to have the midi notes that each pad kicks out to mirror each other in internal / external mode??! If not, do you have a suggestion of how I might be able to achieve what I'm looking to do?
Thanks guys!
