That said, storing lithium ion batteries at 0% charge is one of the worst states that one should store it in (the other being 100% charge). The optimal charge level is around 30% when not being used or in "storage". Keeping it topped off to 100% at all times, or at 0% for extended periods of time, can damage the battery and shorten its lifespan. So depending on when your Live was manufactured and/or how long it sat on the shelf before purchase, some users will see shorter battery lifespan than others.
keep in mind that lithium batteries and their charge mechanisms usually have a protection to no longer power the device around 3.2-2.8V - this doesnt mean its completely flat at 0V but the circuit doesnt allow the device to power on as when it hits 0V there is a risk for the battery to no longer recover ...

completely normal - usually they do balance charging to equal out the cells properly ....
