real simply **** about loops and bars - mpc 1000

help me out, PLEASE!!! got the mpc 1000 yesterday and can´t really do ish even so i read the manual....
my questions:
1. i take an anused track and play a beat with the pads.... is there a way i can set the start and end point of this new drumtrack? i mean i know how to truncate samples, but how do i set the start and end on a "track"
2. let´s assume i recorded a perfect-bar matching- beat....let´s so for 2 bars..... is there a way to copy that to, let´s so 16 bars?? or do i have to play a beat for the entire 16 bars???

or in other words, summing my 2 questions up:
all i wanna do is play a nice beat (kick-snare-kick-kick-snare or whatever) have this perfectly looped and extended to the ammount of bars i´d like to.... HOW DO I DO THIS!!!! HELP ME!!!!

Turn loop to ON in the mainscreen, and it will loop forever.

U sure u read ur manual....Copy & Paste function springs to mind

thanks guys, but it´s in the sequence edit mod....folder "bars"....
problem was dindn´t want a looped 2 bars seqencen because i couldn´t overdub all the stuff i wanted.... loop was too short.....

Just a suggestion but why not overdub your extra S*** on different tracks to your drum loop, that way you can bring in & out as needed in track mode.
I dont think theres a way to stratch ya 2 bar seq over 16, but i see what ya getting at as I was the same.

Meanwhile, back to the question:

Don't forget to investigate Song Mode, which lets you set up chains of Sequences, like:
IntroBeat1 x4
VerseBeat1 x2
VerseBeat2 x2
ChorusBeat x4
BreakdownBeat x16 (for that super laid back stylee)

... and so on.
