Does pad perform send midi?

Hi. I’ve asked this before but haven’t been able to get a great answer. Does pad perform send midi? I’d like to connect my Live to my iPad and play chords using pad perform through an iPad soft synth and record that to a audio track back on the live standalone. Can this be done? Thank you!

You can use pad perform with your soft synt or any sound module. It's one of my favourite features to use with synths. But it works as midi out only if that makes sense.

Yes, it does. Was recently playing my old Korg DW-6000 with it, rocking some chord progressions.

Yes, you can record both the audio and midi.
