Splice is a game changer

that would be great. No need to do the file stuff at all with the mpc, all done with filezilla would be really quick and simple.

tbh if they got rid of the clip launcher and the x/y effects to make room or implement better features I wouldn't miss em...

Oh no, I think the opposite.
If they would improve XY with better effects and put it on Menu instead of Pad colors, I would really be fine.

I have been asking for more ran till my eyes bleed lol They said "we need disk streaming " l kid you not. So l left that alone. I will just deal with the machine l have and make music.

I'm not bashing splice and I don't bash Akai Pro, because the work they do is not easy at all. However, I've never been a fan of incorporating a 3rd party service, that can be shut down, leaving the MPC LIve/X and Force with an usable function. I do understand that not everyone uses WIFI, but for those who do. I just feel it's better in the long run, to give end users more practical functions.

Do you guys remember all the gear that incorporated Apple IPOD, IPADS or iPHONE? I looked at those toys and said, by next year those thing will be unusable. Then when next year came around, apple changed the connectors and updated the software.

This is the same thing I said about the MPC LIVE and the battery. We all know over time batteries lose their charge and can/will be unusable. Also the price to replace those battery are $250.00 and up.

If Akai really wants to make more money, they should subcontract software developers for the MPC2000, 2000XL, 3000, 4000, and 5000. And sell OS feature updates. There are thousands of users who own, many Akai Pro machines that would pay for that. I'll pay $20 for MPC 4000 USB driver for WINDOW 10.

But Splice’s gamechanging implementation will be legendary on an Iconic piece of gear like the MPC and that’s why Splice is the GOAT!

Yep. I remember. That comes to me, is why l got rid of the Power Mac Tower in 2012. Avid with their nonsense and Apple with theirs. I left both alone and have been happy ever since. I have a powerful PC and 2 DAWs that's better for me in my stu. Those companies sit at the table together to see how they can get more money out of us.

I think a “one step further” useful feature would be to keep the MPC and whatever folders I choose in sync. Instead of having to manually copy anything to the MPC. Connect it to the computer, go into controller mode, and the folders I have configured will sync their contents. Both directions. Much like an iPhone does when you connect it to your computer. Sorry for the Apple reference Danoc. LOL

I don't think that's possible. The connection is not via the folders but what you've downloaded from the site itself. In the MPC you're logging on to splice itself. The splice account is synced not the folders. That's why its a Game Changer
