thank you! What l would like to see is Akai work on these machines get them glitch free and work on the software. We already have standalone machines.
Young cats will not spend $1199 or more on an instrument like the MPC Live or X. When thete is a cheaper alternative to achieve the same goal.
MPCs can't compete with SW like S1v4 or FL, Ableton and Reason 10.
Doesn't have automation lanes nor PDC. SmhBeatWilson wrote:i think this already happened around maschine 1.8 around that time every knew there was no point for a mpc standalone and it was preference. it's always been preference since then. people dont even use maschine. just komplete and that's it most of the time. waves bundle and yeah. I've been around electronic producers forever. it was already decided standalone was irrelevant then... that was around 2013 when we knew that. most of my friends were already done with hardware and on vsts entirely by 2010.
mpcs are preference... not worth the price but just a musical instrument. Even roger Linn said it was an Instrument, and should be used like one. This daw nonsense came out for Convenience... it would be convenient if it were a daw. but it aint!
if you don't want it as a musical instrument then yes. get a daw, vsts and a keyboard like the majority of people. your decision
