MPC X monitoring My 3/4 Phono input at all times now?

My MPC X is doing something very strange. I have a turntable plugged into the 3/4 phone inputs on the back of the MPC X.

Normally, if I were on the sample screen, I would turn on monitoring and select the 3/4 input, then choose stereo or mono.

But now, even if I turn off monitoring, change the input, etc. it still plays through my speakers (the regular l/r output) with my turntable! It’s driving me mad.

So, basically my MPC X is playing whatever comes through my 3/4 input at all times, no matter what setting I change.

What is going on?

i had this too one moment, i think one of the 4 gain knobs on the main/front panel was not in the correct position
