They are not all that. To be honest, I don't even use but maybe 2 of the sounds. I also don't have a Midi control keyboard. Some of the sound may be a bit more useful if I was controlling them from a keyboard instead of the pads

i got akai s cd library vol. 0 and 2-3 gigas of progs and samples stored somewhere on my hd ... if ya got them you better check em out ... i dunno whaz where - cd or hd - but some multisampled minimoogs, g. piano, some raw waveforms and some ambience and studio kits are most definately usable - also some strings are nice imo ... progs are usually not that great - but hey to tweak them to your liking is the fun part ...

Yeah, the Vol.0 CD ROM has some usable stuff on it,
but it#s not 96/24 (mostly) and the Multis and programs sure
as hell aren't set up to showcase the machines features.

Pre-installed on my hard drive I also got a ton of
MPC3000/60 stuff and S5000/6000 standard libraries.
But again, whilst there's plenty of tasty stuff in there,
it's not set up to use the best features of the modulations etc
