Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hey all, does anyone use any sort of external midi controllers to control the level of pads while performing? I'm interested in using the 2000xl for loop-launching and blending and stuff, but i'd like to more quickly be able to edit multiple levels at once.

I sometimes use touch screen midi controller on ipad but lots of people don't want touch screen, they want tactile feel.

Midi Fighter twister maybe.

With the 2000xl??? I never tried it but I also never heard/read about someone who has managed to control the 2000/2000xl with external CC or sysex.

another option is to get the 8-outs and use an actual mixer. slightly different outcome, but it is an option.

i'm curious too how you've done it lamp - always thought it was possible but never tried. i've also never tried automating mix levels which i forget is possible with the xl.

midi fighter twister midi cc's to control notes.

2kxl internal mixer faders cannot be externally controlled.

If you can control midi note volume then you don't need the internal faders.
Midi designer pro give me a really good midi control surface, not 2kxl internal fader control.

I agree, find something in the format of a Behringer Eurorack Pro RX1602 Rackmount Line Mixer. I'm not a fan of the mixer, but the build format is what you're looing for. Then rack mount it to the MPC like the Akai MFC42.

rack mounting it is totally unnecessary though, and good luck finding those ears.

any mixer, in any configuration would work.
