Hey guys,

I hope my poor english can describe my question. So lets go on.

So i recorded a stereo sample. On Sample Edit Mode I have 2 different channels, one is displayed upper, one is displayed lower. Because of the wav, I noticed that on channel 2 are different sounds, then on channel 1.

Can i seperate the channels? I just want one channel of the stereo file.

Is there any way?

Thank you!

Y, i was just wondering that I had 2 channels on 1 wav file. Maybe I am wring and it got nothing to do with stereo. How could I make the sample mono? I saw many options for turning audios from mono to stereo, but which one is the correct one?

And if I convert it to mono, will the MPC take both channels / layers and convert it to one or will only one channel be remaining (just like the other one would be deleted).

Thanks a lot!

There are two ways that I know how to do this. One way, is to convert a stereo sample into mono like was mentioned earlier on the sample edit mode, but you can also sum to mono while recording on the sampler. While on the sampler you can select input 1 & 2 and underneath select mono, instead of stereo. This second way will show you the single waveform I think you are looking for while in sample edit mode.

Also if your native language is Spanish I would me more than happy to translate if you send me a direct message.

Cheers brother.
