MPC-X 2.6 step sequencer questions...

Recently purchased an MPC-X

Checking out the step sequencer and for the life of me i cannot seem to change the notes for an instrument..

track 1
drum kit,
press step seq,
pad sel, and pad +/- works fine to select drum parts.. and sequence them

track 2
instrument - a bass program (internal sound like bass-comet bass)
press step seq
tap pad select, select a pad, but when you deselect pad select, the sequencer is stuck on A01...and pad +/_ does nothing..stuck on a1

I "assume " its me... so can someone check and/or just explain my dumbassery? cos it is not working for me like this (admittedly older) video ..thx

Yeah just tried it. It doesn't seem to do anything, but the step sequencer works just fine. Im guessing Pad Select is to choose the drum part you're sequencing if its a drum program?? (This is in the software but Im assuming its exactly the same in the X hehe)

Yes it works fine for drums, but that video clearly shows a melodic instrument and pad/note selection working, which it isnt for me..

thats definetly a bug i also first noticed after installing 2.6.
works in drumprograms, but no use for keyprograms.
never used the stepsequencer like that before, so i dunno if the bug existed before 2.6. too..

can confirm that the step sequencer worked in 2.5 (as described above, as with a drum program) with MIDI and (internal) VSTs/synths
