Ah OK...I was wondering what was up with that. The purpose of the Open Sample dialog is to browse for a single sample that you are assigning to the current pad. The drag-and-drop feature was added so that you could drag files from the desktop, explorer, or wherever else outside the program. I'm able to setup programs fast this way.

I'm going to look into rearranging the checkboxes for the pads on that dialog box; I've gotten that suggestion elsewhere as well.

I just verified that 'Make Pads Chromatic' works fine. What is it doing for you?

hmm, sorry about the chromatic assign, works well if you have some samples on the pads, but on older pgm it won't work, is it because not all pads a,b,c,d are filled.

this because i use all mono outputs so have to set pan and out manual (probably more with me, really time wasting), i'd like to have a overview like a screenshot of mine earlier. But since i think your programm is more progressed then mine (else i would have made it) i hope you cab build such a thing in the future

Yup. All I really wanted (I was the first to ask you for it ) was the auto-play function, and now that I have that, all the rest that you add is just gravy on top!

A few suggestions.

Would it be possible to playback all samples assigned to a pad by pressing the pad select button? This would be so much easier than navigating through the parameters.

Also, could the previewed sounds be played back as tuned in the parameters? I understand not playing back at varying volumes and not filtering when demoing on the computer since these would prove very poor references for the MPC (I think...) but previewing tuning would be nice.

Also, the actual process of creating multisampled progams with samples tuned across ranges doesn't seem to work exactly as I had imagined from the description. Could this be clarified? Same thing goes for the "Apply Layer to Pads" function, for setting all pads to Note On for example. It seems as though I can't make changes to a single pad after this setting has been invoked. Am I wrong?

Also, it seems to me the easiest way to bulk-assign values to parameters across multiple pads would be to select all pads you want to work with (using a click and drag or ctrl/shift select as in selecting files in Explorer) and then modifying parameters. It would prove much more intuitive than context menus to apply the changes to all/selected pads.

Just my point of view, again.

Still can't get samples auto-tuned across multiple pads and automatically set them all to Note On. Any time I try I get all pads tuned to the same amount.

Is there a better way of contacting you re: feature suggestions/bug reports, or do you recommend we stick to this thread?

The "conflict notification" in the Note Parameters section is nice, but it would be more useful if it also provided you with a list of which notes are actually FREE to assign still.
