I myself, could make entire bangers on just the mpc2xl alone.

i bought mine so i can have everything all in one. So i could sample my entire keyboard and have it all in the mpc..........**** controlling synths via midi, i can now just multisample them all. If i have to go to the studio to track something out, all i have to bring is my mpc, not my keyboard, mpc, cables, program disks, etc.

I also liked the dedicated RCA connects in the back for my turntable.

I can also play my sequence and play my turntable at the same time, so if i wanna test a cut over my beat, i can....i dont need a mixer, and you dont get any feedback, since there is less wires, there is less noise on the sample.

Zip drives suck.

I can assure you, after the mpc4000 you wont need anything ever again, ever.
