Hi,
i'm just about to buy Akai Mpc x. Its my first experience with Akai! my question is if possible i can sampling, trim Cd from a cd player (cambrige cxc) in the same way like a vinyl. I mean to connect directly the cd player to akai and start sampling.
Thank you

Absolutely. Just make sure to use the 1/4 inputs and not the rca’s. The rca’s are for phono. The 1/4 inch are for line level.

Hello, just got your message. I answered at bandcamp. But I see Tutor got you started.

I assume the CD player has an RCA output, so you'll a cable like this (not as fancy, but to get the point)

Connect the RCA to the output of the CD player and then connect the 1/4" plugs into the input of the MPC X.

The RCA inputs are for turntables with phono only, do not plug the CD player to that.

Welcome to the forums :-D

P.S. Are you Illie from Santa?
