Keyboard controller for MPC live

Is it possible, when using the MPC live without a computer, to be able to connect and use a midi keyboard controller and, if so how to connect and which keyboard is recommended?
Some of the Akai keyboards look good on paper but how good are they?
A simple 2 octave keyboard would be what I have in mind.

I use Akai Lpk25, very small, usb powered, 2 octaves, very nice keys.
Also check the new Novation one, also small but with some pads and faders.

I use an Alesis q49 and a MPK25. No issues in standalone. The MPK keys are small and spongey, so be aware if you have big hands.

Does anyone know if Nektar boards are compatible with live in standalone?

Anything usb powered...
I recommend a keystep for portable. The advance 61 will work off of usb as well if you want a bigger setup

Yes.

I have been looking at the Native Instruments M32. 3 octave and has a handful of buttons and encoders that can be mapped to the Live. It also comes with some software.
