After powering on my brand new MPC live for the third time on my first day of owning it, In the middle of a project it froze and the shut down screen appeared. the shut down screen took about 10 minutes before it went blank and finally shut down. when I powered back on it took A much longer time starting up than normal and showed me a prompt screen that said “Wi-Fi and SD failed to initiate properly.” It now does this about 80% of the time. I have not Heard back from anyone at akai and I have read up on how long the process of them replacing a faulty machine takes. Is this a known glitch? Should I just return it and keep my fingers crossed when I purchase the next one??

This is not normal at all, since you barely used it did you try a factory reset in the preferences?

Other than that send it back from where got it from.

Sounds like a hardware failure (bum unit). I agree with kaydigi - return it from where you got it from, ASAP.
