Anyone having some serious latency with qlinks on standalone?
They always worked fine until a week ago, now suddenly they have some problems, sometimes they start moving on screen after a couple of seconds and sometimes I have to move them four or five times before they move.
WTF.

Ah good to know. Thanks.
Did you find a solution?
Why does the problem start after months and months I installed 2.6 and not just at the beginning?
Maybe a full reset could work?

Was this after you updated to 2.6?

Yes but it started to happen just now, after months I upgraded to 2.6.
That's the weird thing.

Does this happen in blank project? Also the knobs are touch sensitive, so tap them and give them time to wake up before turning the knob. Perhaps that latency is due to that. I know some devices with Capacitive Knobs that do the same thing after awhile. Especially if you're a power user and move rather quickly.

No, I know what you are talking about, it's not that. This small latency was on Mpc since the beginning and doesn't disturb me, I get used to that.
This is something new and is much worst, sometimes the qlink doesn't move at all for 30 seconds before jumping all of a sudden.
And even if they work, they start working after at least five times I move them.
And it started suddenly some days ago, never had this issue before.
I made a preference reset and they worked fine for a day but now they work badly again.

Have you tried, backing up your settings and reinstalling the OS?
Have you tried removing the caps and blowing compressed air, maybe they're dirty?
Did you spill any liquid on it, drop it, or bang it while transporting it?

Yeah I cleaned them with compress air.
I made a preference reset and they worked fine for a day, then started to have troubles again, then ok again.
I wait for new update before doing anything else now.
It should be coming out soon.

How about using an older version of the OS and see it the problem show up. If it doesn't show up it was the software and if it continues to do that, it may be the hardware. Nevertheless, I hope it's not throwing off your time frame for your projects.

Im having the same problems too. I've cleaned the knobs, contact cleaned underneath the knobs to no avail.

But....

I have my own Workaround!

I actually grab the Knob Twice, then turn. hahaha... Sounds crazy but it seems like I have to activate it 1st with a quick grab, let go, then grab again in 2 milliseconds lol. Like a Quick 1..2

Maybe its just me. But that's my workaround

Yeah I developed same workaround and it works.
But sometimes they just don't move, I have to turn and turn to make it work.
Usually it works like you say but sometimes Mpc wakes up lazy and I have to make a preference reset, shut down and restart.

CharlesRandolph wrote:Does it do the same, when working in controller mode?

I never worked in controller mode.
Only standalone.

1. Go back to prior OS and see if it stills happens.

2. Maybe try it in controller mode and see if the same thing happens.

3. Does it happen when running off the battery and when plugged into the wall?

4. Do you have another MIDI controller with knobs? If so, connect it to your live, assigning the Knobs and see if the same things happens.
