How to reinstall mpc2000xl？

Hi，I'm a Chinese producer.I've got some problem.I bought a mpc2000xl with cf card reader from Japan last week.Accidently，the os can't boot，saying INSERT MPC2000XL DISK.I checked mpc-forums and I tried to boot my mpc with 1.2os floppy disk.I failed.I'm sure I get everything right.And I have a mpc2000classic.I had checked that the floppy drive worked fine.I also had a floppy emulator，I tried it in my 2kxl,too.Still failed.How should I reinstall my os？Help me plz...You know，there was almost nobody knew mpc in china.I feel despair...

classic and xl use different os. 1.2 is for xl. make sure you are using the classic os to boot.

you have to boot from os every time w/ the classic, i believe.

mpc2000=1.72（2 files）
2kxl=1.2 or 1.14（1 file，actually i tried both os）
My problem is that it just shows INSERT MPC2000XL DISk when i try to boot.I can't get hold shift +load to load mode

1.2 or 1.14 will not work - those are for the xl.
only 1.72 will work. you need a disk formatted correctly, then you put the 1.72 os on that, then put that disk in the mpc, and turn it on

My mpc2000 classic can work very well.The 2kxl can't boot.
I Guess I need a recovery chip after cheking many topics..
