hehe it certainly looks purty. The X32 was good but kept thinking it was more a 'live desk' this might be more studio-oriented.

I have an old Behringer DDX 32/16 console (32/32 ADAT io) - shows it's age in some ways but sounds fine & easy to use.

Personally, I not sure how this is the perfect console for MPC X? (Click Bait Title) Considering the MPC X doesn't have SuperMAC, AES50, MADI, ADAT, or DANTE connections. There's no way to tether the units together via USB. It doesn't work with WAVES' SoundGrid tech.

Does the MPC SOFTWARE even have MACKIE/HUI control yet? Everything about this board is really built for LIVE applications. Considering WING max sample rate is 24/48 and they're pushing the AES50 with Kark Teknik SuperMAC technology.

Have to see the manual and read the white sheets.

Maybe I’m not thinking about this clearly but that’s a whole lot of machine to dedicate to just one drum machine. The 8 outs, I’m sure there’s work around a or break out boxes but what about the rest of the gear you want to sequence and track out?

Don’t get me wrong the two would give you a ton of options but way way way over kill if your work flow is just using the x and the wing..

For the price point I can think of a lot of options that would be better suited atleast for my work flow.

WTF!!! That looks bananas ! The specs are ridiculous! Damn! Though lm ITB l can appreciate a nice board. I have Behringer's X-ONE Touch single fader and its the truth. So l bet that board is sick.

It's probably compatible w. their digital stage boxes for extra mic/line inputs - like the x32 & several other big brands. Presonus seem to be keeping close to the 1 channel: 1 real input philosophy on their bigger Studiolive consoles.

It's definitely a live board first and studio board second. As far being paired with MPC X, all I see is the 8 outs like any other mixer. Perhaps the MIDI out on the board to the MPC X to control certain perimeters. But why buy this, instead of getting a MIDI control surface to do the same thing.

It dawned on me that you could export your stems into this thing,. Basically you could rock this however you wanted. The x wouldn’t even need to take up any of those inputs. Sync the two and bounce out your stems from the x, before or after multitracking with your other boxes.

Why not just export your stems, then import them directly into the Software DAW? The mixer does 48 bi directional over USB. So depending on how many tracks you need. This could be done in one pass.

I was thinking from all standalone perspective. Obviously you’d need a computer at some point but yea you can do the same right now with a computer and the x. I’m more interested to see how others think might be a perfect fit for the x.

The impression I’m getting is this is geared towards someone doing a lot of work on the computer and maybe tracking in a few instruments and vocals for studio use. Would be an amazing mixing surface too.

It's like a LIVE/STUDIO HYBRID board. Some question I have are.

1. What does it sound like?
2. What is the Price?
3. How many can be cascaded together?
4. Do all the button and Faders send Midi?

As far working in standalone, that may be possible, depending on how intuitive the multi track recording is. It could be a pretty good stand alone recorder, if the software offer enough editing functions.

I’ve read a lot about the behringer x series when I was looking for a mixer. These newer ones seem to get a lot of praise, people were even getting them just for the effects and utilities they offer. I haven’t owned one, but the consensus seen is that these things were sleepers and almost steal for what they offered. I don’t recall hearing much about the editing functions other than they could record, some even able to multi track. All the different x versions have varied functions.

I’m sure this will be even more solid, but I’m also guessing a price point near 3000.00. The x-32 is still in production and actually just got an update as this was being announced and seems to be around 2500.00 new. If I recall correctly they also have been around the longest and have gone through price drops.
