Want to buy an MPC live

Hi, first post, I want to buy a Live but it's out of stock. Will be available again in February, correct?

I have concerns. I tried to use FL Studio and other programs and I found it too hard to use because I have spams and dystonia etc, so ... is there a lot of drag and drop to do when you have a Live? And swipes or anything that is hard to do when you're not talented in some way.

I was on the phone applying for a Guitar Center card a couple weeks ago to get one, the three stores nearest me all had them in stock. I got approved (after an hour+ phone call) but had to wait for my card to show up before I could use the account. I checked the website again at like 1am and they were all out of stock all of a sudden. By the time I got the card a week later, ONE of em had stock, I called first and they got ONE in. Dude held it for me and I hauled ass about 20 minutes away to grab it. Now about a week after that, all of em have it in stock again. Probably just depends on where you're at, who you were looking at, etc.

As for usage, hmm that depends I guess. There IS a lot of interactivity with the screen, but all the controls can be selected and then edited with the knobs. The grid though, that's where you might have some trouble. Zooming is kinda clunky so far (Ive only had it a couple weeks) and it can be touchy selecting things in it. I haven't started writing anything new yet though, Im working on 'in progress' stuff just getting adjusted to moving to the hardware. There could be alot more involvement with it when that time comes so YMMV. There is no drag and dropping at all in it though. Swiping is pretty much knob and slider movements, scrolling menus or moving the playhead/grid, and as said you can do all that with the knobs.

Are you in the US? If so, Amazon has them in stock pretty much all the time. Not sure what their shipping policies are if you aren't in the US.

Unfortunately I live in Germany (having bad internet also). Amazon has it indeed, which I find surprising. Though... there it costs 34% more than at Thomann. But Thomann have deleted the MPC live product page from all their shops worldwide. Normally they leave a page that says out of stock.

It's cool that the touch screen is easy to use, or the live with the knobs actually. I think I could really create some funny tune with it. I'll just wait till next year.

Edit: Oh, before I make it look like Amazon Germany had just a bad deal, Amazon itself doesn't sell it here. The expensive ones are from these external sellers. Almost every shop here says it's out of stock or there is quite some price increase.

Well Sweetwater had all their catalogs printed up recently showing off a screenshot of the Force's new Arrangement screen so I don't think the line is being discontinued.. Sweetwater gets all their info way ahead of time as well, they wouldn't have put it in the catalog if it wasn't going to be available for awhile.

I couldn't resist to ask them. They will put it in again at the end of February.
