Clips here.. Clips there.. Clips.. Clips.. Clips.. Clips.. Clips..

Come on Andy.. What if I don't use clips? What if I just want the current controller mode software to be bug free..??

I wonder what percentage of MPC users were waiting for THIS.

Some bug fixes in there if you check the notes.

So, 2.8 or straight to 3.0?

This only makes sense if they're abandoning their software and adding all the major DAWs. Aside from that, I don't get why they wouldn't dedicate that time to upgrading their own.

Vote for Studio One from me.

I don’t mind if they do updates that are not for me.. I can’t expect every update to contain the stuff that I need.. But if stuff gets broken after an update try your best to fix that sh!t..

I don't think any reasonable person minds. This just seems to exclude the majority of their users.

Or maybe their research tells them a majority of their users also use Ableton.

But, if someone uses Ableton Live, why the F would they use an MPC to control it, instead of the cool controllers already out there?

Abletons Push kicks but compared to the MPC and no, I don't care about fanbois opinion when facts and stats says otherwise.

This is just another step towards making the MPC a standalone hardware version of DeeJay, the crappy "music production software" from the late 90's....

The thing about Ableton Live is that Ableton provide an open, documented way for others to make controllers for it like this. They commit to not breaking it every minor release, and you don't even have to ask their help or permission to do it. It's the same thing with exporting to Ableton Live sets, you can just get the info you need and add it to your own product. At least, that's what I understand. I think they're fairly unique in this respect, so I wouldn't hold my breath for ProTools support, for instance.

I'm also a bit annoyed that they spent their time on this, when they could've made something that I actually want...

I was expecting them to release this update without Catalina support. But at least they solved for that. Just installed the MPC Software and Driver without any issues.

Studio one, cubase, protools these are the DAW 's that should be integrated with the MPC.. ableton push is already a controller for ableton

Thanks, but no thanks.
I'll just wait for 2.8
Hopefully it will be a standalone-centric update.

Would y’all give them credit if there was legit reason they had to add this like contractually obligated or this is needed for further advancement?
