Was about to run and install it, but its kind of a yawn of an update.
Ill wait til I get home from work tonight to see if they all melted down this afternoon or something.
I don't see any bug fixes for issues Ive run into so..

Heh. Will you be selling every other product you use, too, if your dearest wishes aren't addressed by every update they get?

I already explained in a previous post that the Live just isn’t my thing, but kept hoping it would improve, and that 2.7 would be the last chance I would give the Live.
Instead of selling it after the first month as a miss-buy I patiently kept trying to work with the Live for over a year. So I think I have all the right to say I dislike the Live and after seeing which direction Akai is heading that it definetely is not a match for me.
So no, I’m not that spoilt 20yo keyboard musician / warrior buying and selling gear every other month.

OK :) Sorry, my bad – it just read (to me) like this update didn't please you, not knowing the context.

All good! I won't be using this new feature either; I love Ableton Live, but I use it so much every day (I mix and master for clients and do all inside Ableton Live, as well as a lot of my D&B productions) that MPC hiphoppery is almost like an escape from my daily stuff.

All good. I know there are a ton of guys out there like that. MPC hiphoppery is for me my escape from daily stuff too, or in other words just a hobby. So €1000 badly spent is quite some money for just a hobby. Plus I only want to work with a workflow that is fun to me. Working on the MPC 2500 also has been fun to me, so I hoped working on the Live would be fun for me too.

So I’ll take my loss, stop bitchin’ and grap the cash I can use to get a new laptop and move on.

@Menco

Well sell it soon, prices drop and if they make a new one, they will drop even more.
I have opposite opinion, I really love Mpc workflow and I wish they made it a standalone beast but they choose another direction.
I guess they don't understand how music production is shifting to standalones now that it's possible to make a quite affordable standalone with good cpu and Ram.
Akai could win the competition but they are crazy and they will lose a lot of chances and customers this way.
Amen.

The question is why is it only a Hobby? I've listened to some of your music and you should take the steps to make it a career. You have good ears. What's holding you back!?
