Having nostalgia here- MPC Live newbie

Wow. It’s been a long time that I’ve been away from their forum. Back in 2001-2004 I was here all the time, but I got into other gear and modular stuff and kind of forgot about this forum.
I had met so many cool people on here and had great conversations about mpc stuff and other best boxes.
Just picked up a MPC Live again and can’t believe how far we have come over the past 17-18 years. Still the same vibe on that machine though.
Just opening up this site brought back so many memories of that era and how young and carefree I was. Times sure have changed but Inhave to say it’s comforting be back in here. Look forward to meeting new people and exchanging information about what we all love.
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, it’s just good to be back though. Time to make some beats!

That's one of the several reasons why I make music: I started doing it when I was 12, and I'm 39 now, and it still feels very similar – keeps me young in a way and connects me to that young and carefree self.

Same here. Got back since a while because i picked up a live to replace my mpc1000 who is now retired but i don't have the heart to sell it since i have so much loving memories with it

Personally i started at 13 with.. hiphop ejay? basically a software program with cheesy loops you could combine. Then fruityloops, reason, MPC1000, sold my mpc1000 because it was too limited, then JJ os came and i bought an mpc1000 again, and i never looked back
