What's the in/outs on that Kawai? Is that just a midi keyboard?

It's strictly a MIDI keyboard.

How is the keybed in the Kawai?

Kawai VPC 1 is 3 Sensor, Weighted and Contender weight for better control. You can adjust the velocity of the foot pedal as well. The Fantom 8 keybed is absolutely incredible as well. Too bad they didn't put the same bed in the 6 and 7. But if stack the LIVE on top of any Fantom and you're rocking right.

After testing for months, theses are the one's that were on my radar. All other MIDI keyboard felt like toy, when it came to the action. I really don't need sliders, knobs, or sounds.

VPC1
MP11SE
Fantom 8
Nord Piano 4
Studiologic SL88
Kurzweil Forte 88
Casio Privia Pro PX-560

When l had the 88 key hammer action midi keyboard. So expressive.
I had a 49 key Fatar hammer action midi keyboard. It was the on one made like that. Back then l wanted the all the knobs to work now l wouldn't care.

Did you decide on one of them? And did you test the DAW integration the Fantom 8 allows? I haven't watched the YouTube vids on it yet.

KAWAI VPC 1 there are rumors about the KAWAI VPC 2 coming out. Not sure what they will address. However there is the RAVENWORKS Mod for the VPC 1. https://ravenworksdigital.com/ I don't need it but the option is there.

Nevertheless, any of those listed, just for keybed and feel would be a fantastic addition. The key is live testing.
