If you installed the 2.7 software first and then upgraded to Catalina, you might need to install the 2.7 software again.

Because its only happened to a small group of people, there is something on YOUR Mac that is not jiving with the MPC. They cant test every possible hardware/software combination with it, the ones they did worked fine or it wouldn't have been released. It works perfectly fine on my Mac, and plenty of others as well. Instead of complaining here you guys should be sending all the notes you can to Akai support so they can figure out what it is in your systems that is causing it.
