Hi all,

I want to trigger a pad of my MPC Live with a footpedal, like using a damper pedal to play a kickdrum.
What would be the easiest way to do this, preferably without the need of extra interfaces? Damper pedals have a jack out...

Thanks for any tips!

You'll have to use a MIDI pedal something like: Morningstar MC6 then connect your damper/sustain pedal to the MC6. Here's a link to the that pedal: https://www.morningstarfx.com/mc6-mkii

I'm using my 20 year old Yamaha FC5 sustain foot switch to Start/Stop playback via FS1 port. Thinking of picking up a second FC5 to use in FS2 port on my MPC X for Start/Stop Record Overdub, or perhaps triggering a drum pad like you mention (i.e. Bass/Kick drum).
