Q-Link automatically turns ON when REC+START

Hello,

I've recently bought MPC1K with JJOS2XL and noticed some weird behaviour of Q1:

- i have both Q-Links turned off - "after" button not lit
- MODE+PAD1 (slider) menu - both Q-links turned off
- but when I press REC+PLAY the Q1 automatically turns on (after button lits) and TUNE effect is assigned to Q1
- when I use REC+STAR/PLAY it is OK

It happens all the time and I have tried JJOS2XL 3.65, JJOS3 1.52 and JJOS3 2.34.

I don't know if I'm missing something or this is some strange hardware issue.

If someone has clue what could be causing this I really would appreciate any help.

It sounds weird, does this happen with every project you load, or just specific projects that you use? I just wonder if there is some automation recorded someplace. Try creating a new sequence and see if you get this behavior.

It happens right after I turn my MPC on.

And what I have noticed now, is that also bank A button blinks when I hit REC+PLAY. It wont switch, but only led blinks. And when I have selected some other bank, e.g. C and hit REC+PLAY then numeric button blinks.

I think this really is a hardware issue. :<

Sounds like you likely have a hardware problem... though it might be as simple as popping the top off and reseating the cables. It could be bad, but it is kind of weird that it is two different boards...

Try and take the top off, and see if removing and then reattaching any of the cables helps or changes the symptoms.
