I'm trying to resample things that don't seem to have automation (sample start/end, program params). However, when I try to record the Resample LR in sampler and go back to main to tweak stuff, the recording stops.

My question is, using the Resample output, is it possible to record param tweaks? If I buy patch cables, will I be able to record virtually any sound I make into an audio track?

Resample.
Make your tweaks to that resampled audio.
Resample again so it’s permanent.
Don’t tweak while resampling.

That’s not how resampling works.
Create a long sequence and tweak that.

I'm not with my Live right now so I can't check, but can resampling be used as a source in an audio track? If so that might be solution.

I believe so...you just have to set which out to resample

This.

Resample is the final recorded output, not a tweak in progress.

Use the looper mode. This will allow you to tweak until your heart is content and all while leaving the main record/sampling screen. Save the sample and go again. Enjoy!!
