“Insert Sound” feature available on Live?

Peace, yall
If any of you have used older MPs (particularly the 2000xl), there was a feature on the sample edit page that was called “Insert Sound”, which p much allowed you to add a sound ontop of the waveform (sample that’s being edited). Is this possible on the Live/X/Touch?

Sounds like layering, such as a bass drum with a high hat, but want to make sure I know what you're looking to do first.

In a way it is layering, but you’re actually changing the sample itself by adding another sound ontop of that sample. This video describes what I mean:

If I understood what he was doing in the video, you want to offset the sample timing, when you hit a pad the sample won't trigger instantly? Program edit -> sample -> offset

Insert sound is destructive, nudging is non-destructive.
