How to burn wav:s to cd???

Can anyone please give me some tips on how to burn wav files on the pc which could be imported into my mpc 2000xl via scsi cd?
I've tried all different possibilities and wasted a truckload of cdr:s.
I use nero and xp.
Any tips on this will be very appreciated!

I've not heard of anyone experiencing problems with an XL, only the standard 2000.

In order for us to help, you need to describe exactly what is happening - is the MPC recognising the format of the disk (or does it say Type=?????), is it just not recognising the files, or are there missing files etc.

i thought there was some software out there that did this cos ive never got it workinga nd was told that you need to take a disk image off of the scsi h/d rather than just put the wavs on to cd...

let me know how you get on- need to do this myself...

The MPC says "Type= " and cannot find the cd at all, but it works well with akai cds, so it's not the cdrom or the scsi that's the problem...

i record the wavs as data and make sure the samples are 16bit because the mp wont take anything less

It works for me and I do nothing more than just write a bunch of files to the CD. I do not use XP.

make sure when you burn the .wav files they are all in Windows pcm .wav format......1

Thanx, but how do I see if the format is pcm?

Doesn't matter what format the fiels are in as the MPC is not recognising the actual formatting of the CD.

ISO9660 or Joliet work fine for me.

ah so you dont have to actually take a disk image like you would on an s2000, i can just burn samples as .wav onto a cd and the mpc will recognise?

i may have to go and get my cd-rom back if this is true..

Umm, I think at least a couple of us have stated that already.

Are you sure there is not a problem with that particular CD reader?

well it must be the cd-rom then as every time i tried it in the past it didnt work...ill check what model ive got...
