Poll time! MPC X / Live/ Force: What storage do you use?

I'm curious how most of you store your samples and song projects. Poll question says it all - fee free to vote and chime in.

I have a tiny USB stick that is my main method *right now*, as I was manually cleaning up a lot samples and sounds, but I also have an SSD (maybe 120GB?) installed in my live also. Planning on migrating everything I can to the hdd.

I have expansions stored on the SSD to mirror what's on the desktop software. Songs on the Live are saved to a SD card and to a second USB stick. The USB stick is used to open the project if necessary with the MPC Touch/MPC Studio desktop software.

Since it looks like we aren't getting new MPC controllers, I may replace the Touch with a MPC One. The touch is becoming a pain to install with windows 10 and Mac OS updates.... mainly the display link driver.

Both usb and sd. Hopefully get sad to fill both with keygroups.

128GB SD and 250GB SSD

1TB HDD in the X and Live. Used to Store Everything. Projects, Samples, Expansions, etc
SD Card for Projects and Samples. I swap the Card when I travel with the Live.
USB Stick with a Catalog of Whole Songs to sample from, Get ideas, etc

Back Up Everything on the Home Computer...Just in Case

I have all of my samples and expansion packs installed on the Mac for use with the software when in controller mode. Also have them all loaded onto a 1TB SSD in the MPC Live. All projects get saved to the SSD. Entire SSD backed up to an external drive for safe keeping. Haven't tried using a USB stick or SD card for anything yet.

Using an older 300GB WD Blue HDD I had laying around for now. Still had an old backup of my Mac 10.7 system on it when I formatted it in the Live heh. Probably grab a bigger SSD the next time OWC has them on sale for cheap. The HDD is kinda laggy when loading and saving, hoping an SSD fixes that.

I voted "2 or more":
SSD for main storage: projects, expansions, programs, etc..
And a combination of USB and sd card for moving files to and from other devices - computer, field recorder, etc.

I use a 2 tb ssd and a 128gb sd. I also use usb drives to backup projects or save songs I'm too embarrassed to keep on the MPC...

I use a 2Tb SSD. I put my entire sample collection on it, and save projects on it too. Then transfer the projects to Logic to complete them.

Nice! Is the 2Tb SSD an internal or external via USB?

Oh my bad, meant to say it’s internal. It’s a Crucial. I haven’t had any issues with it.

I converted and older desktop PC into a NAS using FreeNAS. https://www.freenas.org/ However now I'm using a Synology DS1819 because it's easier to swap out drives.
