Update 2.7.2 - not the big improvement

The 2.7.2 firmware update it back in my Akai account again.

Yeah, the firmware update for the hardware must've just showed up within the last hour. You don't need to be logged in to download the firmware update, since Akai knows it's useless without their hardware. You only have to be logged in when downloading the software update.

For what it's worth, the size of the firmware update file went from 150MB for 2.7.0 to 200MB for 2.7.2. That's a 50MB jump. For just a few minor bug fixes and adding the MPC One compatibility? Seems strange. Maybe some code left behind that might be activated in 2.8 or higher? Who knows.

They fixed the distortion from lack of headroom. And I'm not too sure about this but I think the sample rate is at 96kh in standalone mode now

I think I'll wait a couple of months before installing this update.

I still don't get it, mine has worked fine on Mojave. I think once I was unable to get the software to see the Live, but that same day something was up with my Mac because the Network MIDI port was completely dead as well. Reboot and it popped right back up. Im kinda scared to update haha.

Regarding Mojave how were you able to fix the audio issue where Mojave blocks any audio signal? I can't get the MPC sofrware to "ask for permission to use the internal mic" so now I cant record any audio when in controller mode.

Same midi maps in this release though there would more but installed anyway.. happy with progress..

They fixed that in 2.6. Never had an issue with it. For 2.5 I just installed 2.3 first, ran it once to give it permission, then upgraded.

Are you considering the USB ports as MIDI in as well? If so, I total forgot they could be used that way.

Every program type should have a MIDI IN setup so that it responds to certain channel or midi port (and also continues playing in background when switching tracks). HOW HARD IS THAT!? That's insane!

I jumped the gun and updated my software and firmware. Ill check back on here in the near future if i find anything new. Just happy my mpc turns on. lol.

I am still waiting unti I can buy the mpc one, so I cannot test it.

MPC Live and X has always been 44.1 Khz and 24 bit in standalone. I can't imagine the One being any different (unless someone can cite Akai on this somewhere)?
