MPC 2000 won’t start up

Greetings all
My mpc 2000 has recently crashed. When I press the power button the screen flashes for a moment then turns off. The same happens when I press the power button to turn it off. Is this a power supply problem? Any advice would be much appreciated.

This has never happened to me but from what I've read in other threads, it could be that your RAM shit has disconnected.

Could be a cold solder joint on the power switch circuit board barely making contact.
Open it up and check the power switch is fully soldered onto the circuit board. While it's open, check the RAM and other wire connections are fully seated/connected.
